Some questions:
Have you tried this with command-line gdb? (insight -nw)
What compiler are you using?
What is the output of "show version"?
Normally when things like this happen, it is either a gdb problem or a compiler problem, so it is prudent to double-check this first. [I have just tried simple C++ programs on CVS HEAD only yesterday.]
