function approximations

I am looking for code matching GSL's Chebyshev approximation and
evaluation routines for
 - Fourier series approximation
 - rational polynomial function approximation

Am I overseeing anything in GSL to perform such evaluations?

Are there any ready-to-use codes around that could nicely be used in a
C++ project. A nice fit with GSL would be a great plus, as that is
used already;)

Any hints are appreciated -- thank you in advance.

Greetings,
Jochen
