Gerard Jungman, the author of these routines, is away at the moment.
I expect it is a coincidence they are the same in 2-dimensions
(presumably they are different in higher dimensions).
I think there is Fortran code on netlib for the original articles
which you could compile if you wanted to cross-check the results.
