a function call in c as it has to be reentered into other things, but thanks

Slaven Peles sent me a much easier example of usage, and i am going to see 
if i can get it to work now, cheers Slaven,

GSL seems to be a fantastic library, but what it is really lacking in is 
examples, i would suggest to the maintainers and authors to create a little 
compilation of several examples to download to compliment each section of 
the documentation, in simple, intermediate and advanced form as the 
documenatation examples are really trying to fit everything in at once and 
this is very confusing.
