Failure is ubiquitous.
If you want to understand issues and methods, look at the
Blitz++ and TNT projects. Those are probably the two high
quality games in town. Blitz++ is GPL'ed and is being
written by the guy who invented expression templates;
it is currently my favorite candidate for "foundation
for the future".
