Ok, I guess I meant that *given a platform ABI*, the version number implies the
soname?
I don't really care that much about glibc 1.x honestly. Nobody is shipping
glibc 1.x-based binaries or systems, and it doesn't affect my use cases at all.
So you can handle it however you like.
I'm not sure I understand what you're trying to figure out here.
