OK. So let's fix that.
Notice that the patch supplied here (so long ago):
http://www.cygwin.com/ml/libc-hacker/2010-10/msg00014.html
is called "Don't require DNS labels to be host names". Requiring DNS labels to
be hostnames is the bug, right? And it is still a problem.
