Thanks for fixing this bug. I verified that my test case now yields the correct
result by doing:
./testrun.sh ../fmemopen-bug-git/a.out > ~/new.out.txt
This is based on the page https://sourceware.org/glibc/wiki/Testing/Builds
which I was referred to by ams` on #glibc on Freenode (thanks!).
