Well yes, but see the last paragraph of my initial comment... even though the
patch could be improved, in my opinion it is already in its current state an
improvement over the current doc and I don't plan to work on it any more than
this.

Regarding the possible improvements someone who actually knows (not me!) should
do them, for example I gather %a is not exactly the same as %m but I don't know
the details.
