Bug #: 14337
Summary: clog, clog10 spurious underflows
Product: glibc
Version: 2.16
Status: NEW
Severity: normal
Priority: P2
Component: math
AssignedTo: unassigned@sourceware.org
ReportedBy: jsm28@gcc.gnu.org
Classification: Unclassified
On arguments with one part small and one large, the scaling done in clog and
clog10 to avoid overflows in hypot can cause spurious underflow exceptions.
For example, on x86_64, clog (0x1p-1074 + 0x1.fp1023i) raises a spurious
underflow exception.
Working on a fix.
