[Bug libc/12949] New: broken rpc implementation in glibc version 2.14

http://sourceware.org/bugzilla/show_bug.cgi?id=12949

Summary: broken rpc implementation in glibc version 2.14
           Product: glibc
           Version: 2.14
            Status: NEW
          Severity: normal
          Priority: P2
         Component: libc
        AssignedTo: drepper.fsp@gmail.com
        ReportedBy: guido@trentalancia.com

It seems that the rpc implementation shipped with libc version 2.14 is broken.

For example, apparently it does not install header files in /usr/include/rpc
and thus it breaks the build of other packages such as libtirpc or at least it
leads to a libtirpc which is missing symbols for DES encryption (so that
libtirpc is basically unusable).
