How about the log (http://sourceware.org/bugzilla/attachment.cgi?id=1669) in
which Costin demonstrates that it just doesn't work as you describe it?
I also found myself without my account in my local cache today on my
disconnected laptop and I have reload-count set to unlimited as well.
