I'm not trying to defend broken code and application fix makes sense if this
change brings benefits. However, even if I trust your judgement, you didn't
explain the gain of the change in the changelog entry, commit message, in-code
comment, or anywhere else I've searched. Can you please at least explain it in
this bug entry?
