Subject: GDB and hardware watchpoints on ARMv7-A

Hi,

I am running Fedora 18 ARM on Exynos4412 (ARMv7-A) SoC w/ the latest version of GDB available.
It looks like watchpoints are software-based, not hardware ones. I found [RFC] patch

   ARM support for Hardware breakpoints and watchpoints for native Linux.

in gdb-patches mailing list, posted in 2010 [1].

Does GDB support hardware watchpoints on ARMv7-A? If so, how should I enabled them in my build?
