5.3: three week slip and high priority PRs

[attempt 2, qmail didn't like my html attachment]

Having just almost finished the little things that needed to be done for
5.3 (eg fix x/i $pc); and gone through the bug database identifying as
``high'', all the 5.3 ``must fix'' bugs (criteria: doesn't build; can't
run-to-main) (must fix != will fix ;-). I've noticed that my diary
indicates ``two weeks to 5.3 release''.

I don't think that is going to happen. I'm thinking of adding three
weeks (because it is more than two and everyone normally slips two weeks
:-).

Anyway, below are the high category CRs. These are things that relate
to being able to do:
	./configure
	make
	./gdb/gdb a.out
	(gdb) break main
	(gdb) run
And so, I think, should be resolved.

If there are other CR's that fall into that category then please point
them out.

Andrew
