tbreak on NetBSD/PPC

Hello,
Someting somewhere appears to have broken tbreak on NetBSD/PPC (and I
mean `somewhere'' -- it could be userland, kernel, gdb, libc, my new
power cable, ...). I've so far had no luck pinning down what was
changed on my machine that triggered the problem :-(
Anyway, has anyone else noticed that tbreak doesn't work on their system?
