Well, apparently this is not a bug on GDB.  I didn't know this topic had been
covered before, but the thread is here:

Which, according to Pedro, lead to:

So, given this outcome, I'm closing this bug as INVALID (since we don't have a
NOTABUG marker).  Feel free to post updates to this issue here if you want,
