Hi. I've seen performance degradation in gdb 7.8. I've bisected the bad commit
to be 5840bf271c87c3fc14739173fdc91c6a14057130
The problem is very slow application startup. If I avoid linking with a couple
of shared libs the slowdown goes away.
Need to look into this ...
