Bug #: 14977
Summary: printf dies with null string
Product: gdb
Version: unknown
Status: NEW
Severity: normal
Priority: P2
Component: cli
AssignedTo: unassigned@sourceware.org
ReportedBy: tromey@redhat.com
Classification: Unclassified
printf throws an exception if given a null string:
(gdb) printf "hi bob %s\n", 0
Cannot access memory at address 0x0
This seems unfriendly.
I think printing (null) or the like would be better.
