Thanks Yao. I think I replied to all your questions. I'll be glad to
try to clarify anything else that still might need it.
I think I addressed all the comments I got so far, and I've tested on
x86. Out of paranoia, I'm retesting on PPC64 and S/390 as well, though
it's probably unnecessary as nothing major changed.
Meanwhile, I pushed the changes to users/palves/all-stop-non-stop.
