1 ) How do I check out the writable copy ?

with following ?

Read-write CVS (GDB developers only):
CVS_RSH=ssh ; export CVS_RSH
cvs -d :ext:YOURACCOUNT@sourceware.org:/cvs/gdb co htdocs

2) what is my acount@sourceware.org ?

3) I think I need to install cvs client or cvs package on linux ?
