Well, take our word for it: your response appeared extremely rude for
no good reason.

As someone who have certainly read the patch, I can assure you that
Chris's question didn't sound like it was answered in the comment.
Please consider the possibility that you didn't express yourself
clearly enough in that comment, rather than that people don't read
your mail before asking questions.
