ok, i had problems getting gdb to work at all when i removed them, which
is why i left them in for now. i realize this needs a lot more cleanup,
but i want to get some basic things in before i start changing it all :)

sorry, which file are you refering to? i made it use tm-hppa.h which is
an existing file. but since you mention shlibs, do you mean linux.mh?

i will get back to you about hppa-elf later today.
