C modelling??

Hi,
My question is not directly related to ecos, but to
general C programming.
Can any one suggest a language ( like UML ) and tool
like (rational rose) for modeling projects written in
C i.e structured language.
what do the C software coders ( specially embedded
system developers) use for modelling there softwares?
I was thinking if projects like ecos,linux etc could
be modelled in such a way then it will be a great help
for both users and developers.
