Re: Redboot v1.94 for ixdp425

I just try to find out, why my own build does not allow to load the kernel but the prebuilt one does! If I knew how to build exactly the prebuilt redboot ROM binary I would have a baseline for further required adaptions (memory, UART, display, NPE instead of PCI-NIC, etc.).

Again my question: Did anybody of the ECOS-list build the IXDP425-ECOS-Redboot-v1.94-package and achieve to work proper (i.e. load a kernel) on their own proprietrary IXP42x hardware???

As I already said: The redboot on its own seems to work properly. But: After I load the kernel (load -r -b -v 0x06000000 zImage ; exec -c "console=ttyS1,115200 mem=63M" ) redboot seems to hang, however, nothing happens.

Thanks a lot for any help,

Stefan.

Prebuilt might not have some packages included ... why do you need to have

Thanks Prakash

Subject: [ECOS] Redboot v1.94 for ixdp425

Hi,

does anybody know how to obtain the same build-result as the prebuilt

...redboot-intel-xscale-040330/bin/ixdp425/redboot_ROM.bin (size:
167088) ???

Problem:
The prebuilt one runs more or less and boots the linux kernel, the newly
built redboot.bin (size: 250440) does not.

Did anybody of you achieve to build an identical image as the prebuilt
one???

Regards,
Stefan.
