- Subject: [ECOS] redboot from ram vs redboot from rom - load timeouts.
Hello,
I'm using EB42, I installed RedBoot onto it, using procedure from manual
(1) connect to on-board monitor using gdb, 2) load redboot.ram, run it, then
3) using redboot.ram load redboot.rom, write it to flash and then 4)reboot into
this newly upload flash).
The problem is that when I try to load anything/example programs using
redboot I get terribly slow transfer rates, and after 10-20 sectors with
lots of retransmissions the whole procedure timeouts.
When I reverted to Angel monitor and loaded redboot.ram again, the upload
procedure is relatively snappy.
I can see that there is RedBoot.RAMROM variant, but it loads redboot into
ram, which on this board is rather precious resource ( 256k ).
Is there anything I can do about those problems? Change baudrate? Maybe
there's some error in redboot code?
