- Subject: [ECOS] Full or half duplex in MPC8xx QUICC ethernet driver if_quicc.c ?
Hi,
I have found something which seems a little bit odd in the MPC8xx QUICC
ethernet driver (if_quicc.c).
The driver is presumably expected to work in full duplex mode:
// now just assume the link is up, full duplex, unknown speed.
p->operational = 3; // LINK UP
p->duplex = 1;
p->speed = 0;
but the PSMR register does not seem to have its FDE (Full Duplex Enable)
bit set:
// Protocol specifics (as if GSML wasn't enough)
scc->scc_psmr = QUICC_PMSR_ENET_CRC | QUICC_PMSR_SEARCH_AFTER_22 |
QUICC_PMSR_RCV_SHORT_FRAMES;
Does anyone have some additional information or comment concerning this
topic?
Kind regards,
Tord Andersson
