Hi David,
Along with the eCos documentation online, there is also a book that might
help you get started. It's called Embedded Software Development with eCos
(ISBN: 0130354732).
There are chapters in there to guide you through all the steps from setting
up the tools, to building RedBoot, to building an eCos sample application.
