Does any one have any figures for network characterisation of eCos?
I got the following nos. on our target. I'd like to know how they compare to
other platforms.
Any information is welcome!!!
On my hardware (a 200MHz Equator BSP-15 with a RealTek 8139 NIC,
measured against a 700MHz PentiumIII) I get real-world speeds of
about 0.66 MByte/s (real-world in this case is downloading binary
images via tftp, using eCos' tftp client code). This is only
marginally slower than Linux running on the same platform.
nc6_test scores vary from 10MByte/s for UDP packets (this value
is almost certainly false, since the test complains about
missing packets) all the way down to 99KByte/s under heavy load.
