I don't understand. I just built the RedBoot floppy from the
most up to date sources (nothing's changed in that area for
a long time BTW) and it worked just fine. I ended up with
a file "install/bin/redboot.bin" which is exactly the floppy
image.
I did this both via ecosconfig and using the ConfigTool.
If you follow the instructions, it should work.
