I have not heard of anyone who has ported eCos to NIOS, however the NIOS GCC
tools exist so that would be one less step involved. We would need a
platform HAL, Variant HAL and an Architecture HAL.
Linux already exists on NIOS, so it should be possible to get eCos to work.
You could try contacting Altera, they decided to use GCC and Linux so they
seem open to the open-source idea.
