As I understand it, it's left at its default setting which is almost
certainly writeback mode. There is no way to select it yet, but it would be
trivial to add. See hal/powerpc/mpc8xx/current/include/var_cache.h, where
these are the macros to be filled in:
// Set the data cache write mode
//#define HAL_DCACHE_WRITE_MODE( _mode_ )
//#define HAL_DCACHE_WRITETHRU_MODE 0
//#define HAL_DCACHE_WRITEBACK_MODE 1
Then use the macros somewhere before the caches are enabled.
