There is a "hole" in the XScale Cyclone flash. 0x1000 - 0x1fff
actually mapps to the I/O companion chip registers and not to
flash. Perhaps you are trying to program that region. The
Intel FRU tool and RedBoot itself avoid writing into that area
when reprogramming the first flash block.
