The failure (see URL) above is meant to be "not finished" but I don't see what's
"not finished" about it . Perhaps it's something to do with the glitch on the
"breakpoint 2" line where it says "cyg_i??B_exit" which Alex says is probably a
buffer overflow that's already been fixed. But is that what caused the "not
finished"?

Due to a buffer overflow that's already been fixed. The farm <b>does</b> look
for cyg_test_exit

Could a similar bug explain why there are junk characters at the start of 
every output log?  Look for any failure and look at the test log.  At the 
beginning of the log there are non-printable characters.
