So far, I've heard rumors of this complicated general case, or of
conjectured hypothetical optimizations which would make updating
the global location incorrect, but there have been no examples presented.
There's been claims for the "greater expressive power" of duplicating
location information in non-defining entries. Rather than an example
which shows that there is no benefit, how about an example which
actually shows a benefit?
