Some things you might try:
- Rebuild the ls-R database. As root, run texconfig and choose REHASH
from the menu. I don't know if that actually helps, but there's nothing
quite like an up-to-date ls-R database.
- Edit .../texmf/web2c/texmf.cnf and add a directory entry to the
TEXINPUTS variable where isoents.tex lives.
- Set your own user TEXINPUTS environment variable to include .../texmf
and the directory containing isoents.tex. Don't forget the double slash
(meaning recurse into subdirectories) after .../texmf, for example:
TEXINPUTS=/usr/local/share/texmf/tex//:/usr/local/share/jadetex:.
