Hi Christian,
You'll have to elaborate a bit on what you are attempting to do and what
results you are seeing.
The default page numbering in DocBook XSL uses lowercase roman numerals for
the front matter, and restarts numbering at 1 on the first chapter in arabic
numerals. Regardless of the number format or restart, the TOC should get
correct page references.
