Re: troubles after changed encoding in XSL 1.58

/ Jeff Beal <jeff.beal@ansys.com> was heard to say:
| Set the XSL parameter 'default-encoding' to ISO-8859-1.

Unfortunately, that only works if you're chunking. There's no way to
set the default encoding with a parameter when you're using the
straight stylesheets.

You should be able to fix this, however, with your own customization
layer:

<?xml version="1.0"?>
<xsl:stylesheet xmlns:xsl="http://www.w3.org/1999/XSL/Transform";
                version="1.0">

<xsl:import href="/path/to/xhtml/docbook.xsl"/>

<xsl:output method="xml"
            encoding="--you're-favorite-encoding--"
            indent="no"
            doctype-public="-//W3C//DTD XHTML 1.0 Transitional//EN"
            doctype-system="http://www.w3.org/TR/xhtml1/DTD/xhtml1-transitional.dtd"/>

</xsl:stylesheet>

                                        Be seeing you,
                                          norm
