It appears your PATH doesn't include the directory for my-shell-script.
If you changed:
open [list | my-shell-script]
to
open [list | /full/path/to/my-shell-script]
does it work?
If you display your path (echo $PATH) in my-shell-script, and run it
both ways, does it have different values?
