Bash not recognised......

Hi Guys,

I have just installed cygwin on windows 2000.
I have the icon on the desktop and in the start menu.

Whenever I execute these shortcuts nothing happens, apart from a dos prompt
flashing up briefly.

When I open up a dos prompt and cd to the directory and run the cygwin.bat
I get the following error:

'bash' is not recognised as an internal or external command, operable
program or batch file.

Am I being super-thick here?

Many thanks

matt
