RE: 2nd problem: cygwin and windows 2000


Hmmm.  I guess it ignores those vars; I thought it used them.  Try creating
/tmp first.  If that doesn't stop the error message, then create a /tmp off
of your cygwin install dir.

The setup program creates this dir automatically.  Did something go wrong in
your install to cause it not to?  Maybe you should just clear/uninstall
Cygwin and rerun setup to get it all correct.  Maybe there are others issues
you aren't aware of yet (?).

the TMP and TEMP vars for win2k both point at the windows temp directory.
it doesnt make a difference if i change em.
