I have not tried it, but Magic is distributed as source code, so you
might be able to compile and get it working. However, since Magic 6.x an
X11 application, you need to install the X client libraries from
http://dao.gsfc.nasa.gov/software/grads/X11R6.4/. Since the developers
of magic have used the ':' character in many of the filenames, you'll
need to do quite a bit of work on a non-Windows system, renaming all
those files to avoid that illegal character. Otherwise, you can't even
unpack the source code.
