I installed cygwin from scratch and selected gvim.
When I try to run it, I get the message:
No fonts found; this probably means that the fontconfig
library is not correctly configured. You may need to
edit the fonts.conf configuration file. More information
about fontconfig can be found in the fontconfig(3) manual
page and on http://fontconfig.org
Other basic x applications are working fine, as is emacs.
Any ideas?
You are probably missing the scaleable fonts, which are not installed by
default. Try installing the xorg-x11-fscl package.
