Emacs crashes under the latest Cygwin/X11

After a short bliss of Emacs stability under Cygwin/X11, the crashes
are  back -- major irritant. The crashes are accompanied by various
messages, not always looking identical. Here's the latest:

    $ X protocol error: BadIDChoice (invalid resource ID chosen for
    this connection) on protocol request 1

I have not seen this issue discussed on the mailing list, although
something similar has been flagged.

Any hope of a prompt solution to this problem?

Here are the versions. I believe I'm fully patched up to the latest
