if the linux host has xfree86 installed create these links:
ln -sf xorg$i /etc/X11/xkb/xfree86$i

ln -sf xfree /etc/X11/xkb/xorg
ln -sf xfree.lst /etc/X11/xkb/xorg.lst
ln -sf xfree-it.lst /etc/X11/xkb/xorg-it.lst
ln -sf xfree.xml /etc/X11/xkb/xorg.xml

on windows create the other links

ln -sf xorg.lst /etc/X11/xkb/xfree.lst
ln -sf xorg-it.lst /etc/X11/xkb/xfree-it.lst
ln -sf xorg.xml /etc/X11/xkb/xfree.xml
