Hello,
I am new XFree86. I installed it simply using cygwin
install. And then copied .xinitrc to the home
directory as specified in the online manual without
any modification. Then I cd into /usr/X11R6/bin and
run startx.
The windows comes up OK with three terminals and one
clock. When I exit the window, I got following error
message in the cygwin window:
$ startx
waiting for X server to shut down xterm: fatal IO
error 113 (Connection aborted
) or KillClient on X server ":0.0"
X connection to :0.0 broken (explicit kill or server
shutdown).
XIO: fatal IO error 113 (Connection aborted) on X
server ":0.0"
after 12738 requests (12729 known processed)
with 0 events remaining.
Please help.
