If you intend to do it, *please* don't do this in a postinstall script!
Postinstall scripts have no way of communicating with the user, and I, for
one, get annoyed when software messes up my desktop/start menu *without
asking me*. If you want to provide such functionality, please include a
config script that will be run separately by the user.
