No, that article does not apply. That article applies to a C++ template
library for COM called ATL. We obviously do not use ATL within
Cygwin/XFree86. Furthermore, the CImage class does not apply to screens,
rather,
"CImage provides enhanced bitmap support, including the ability to load and
save images in JPEG, GIF, BMP, and Portable Network Graphics (PNG) formats."
