Hi,
I Tried to do CHMOD and CHOWN on some of my files but the permissions are not changing. may i know the reason?
below given is a small log:
[SUBTLE]~$ touch try
[SUBTLE]~$ chmod -v 755 try
mode of `try' changed to 0755 (rwxr-xr-x)
[SUBTLE]~$ ls -l
total 0
-rw-r--r-- 1 siddug 544 0 Sep 9 00:36 try
[SUBTLE]~$
Can u give me suggestions?
I wanna know why it's happening like that?
I tried somethings like adding more users in /etc/passwd or /etc/group
In anticipation,
Regards,
Sidd
