Some question from a "newby"

Dear all,

I'm new to XFree, so I hope someone of you can give me some
hints concerning this:

I recently saw that nice screeshot with xfce and xfree - how do you=20
configure xfree to achieve this appearance ? The panel at the bottom
and so on - in which way do I have to manipulate the startup scripts ?

Furthermore: when starting xfree, there appear alot of dos prompts
(for each xterm or rxvt one starts) - is there any way to avoid this?

I have a german keyboard - where can I make those settings ?
